What an absolutely wonderful action-packed celebration with our community entrepreneurs, sponsors, partners, facilitators, panelists, volunteers, the Louisville Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Team & Angeles Investors at the 3rd Annual Derby Pitch at the Frazier Kentucky History Museum!

A full day reviewing and rehearsing with my co-MC Sarah H. Lopez for the main stage showcase, reviewing, translating and interpreting for the 3 educational panel discussions with numerous Business Subject Matter Experts, celebrating and recognizing 3 outstanding Jockeys and witnessing the incredibly moving recognition of Adolfo Ben Ruiz with the Great Newcomer Kentuckians Award No. 01 by the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights supported by Adhawks Advertising & Public Relations co-founder Sonia Ruiz.

Shout out to Enidza Torres, Director of Development from the Backside Learning Center, as well as to Javier Torres, Regional Manager of the Jockey’s Guild for nominating the 3 Jockeys to keep our eyes (and bets) on: Chris Elliott, Edwin Maldonado and John Velazquez.

Congrats again to local 2026 Derby Pitch Winner Cielo M. Stein - MBA & national Winner Ramses Alcaide.

To all the volunteers, team and especially to Cassie Blausey with Sagebird Consulting for all the event planning and logistics and continuing to build upon David Lopez's brainchild.
