Today, Freedom Senior Services is proud to be at the Bates Community Development Corporation Produce Bingo at Camp Edwards! Instead of traditional prizes, participants are winning fresh, healthy produce while connecting with local organizations and resource partners dedicated to serving our community.

A special thank you as well to Chandler Insurance Group for organizing and bringing this amazing group together—we truly appreciate your leadership and support in making this event possible!

It’s always a blessing to work alongside so many incredible partners who are making a real difference in the lives of seniors, families, and neighbors. Thank you to everyone who came out today—we’re grateful to be part of such a meaningful event!

What a day! Case managers, coordinators, outreach leads, caregivers, and community partners filled the house at our Freedom Senior Services Meet & Greet today at our Fern Creek Adult Day Center in Louisville.

The best part: many of these wonderful people have worked together for years, coordinating care for the same participants, solving problems on the same cases, and had never once met face to face until today. Watching those first in-person hellos happen all afternoon was something special.

Home and community based care is built on relationships. The phone calls, the referrals, the handoffs that keep a senior safely at home all run on trust between people. Putting faces to names makes every one of those connections stronger.

Thank you to everyone who took time out of a busy Thursday to be with us, and to our featured speakers Deveda Parker, Amanda Johnson, and Julia Babich for sharing what this work looks like from the inside. Special thanks to our own rockstar Sydney Stallcup for planning such a wonderful event.

Freedom Senior Services was proud to be part of the Senior Lifestyle, Health and Home Expo at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green this week.

Our community outreach coordinator, Kayle Worley, was featured by WNKY News 40 sharing why events like this matter. In her words, it is a chance for seniors and people with disabilities to "come out and understand the resources offered to them throughout their communities."

That is exactly why we show up. So many families in south central Kentucky are caring for a parent, a spouse, or a neighbor without knowing that support for daily living may already be available to them, often at little or no cost.

We are incredibly excited to introduce the newest addition to our leadership team, Brandie Sykes, MSN, RN! Brandie recently joined us to head up our Shivey Adult Day and Attendant Care operations right here in Louisville.

With over 15 years of nursing and healthcare leadership experience, Brandie brings a wealth of expertise—but more importantly, she brings a massive heart for the seniors and families we serve. She is deeply passionate about our local communities and is already finding wonderful ways to help us grow and expand our care.

What a night to remember. 🐎

Freedom Senior Services celebrated a first last night, gathering our leaders and team members at the iconic Churchill Downs for our very first Leaders and Employee Appreciation event. After spending time mapping out our vision for the next five years, we set the work aside, headed to the rail, and simply enjoyed being together.

And what a thrill it was. We sponsored Race 4, the Freedom Reins, cheered our hearts out as the field came down the stretch, and got to present the trophy to the winning team right there in the Winner's Circle. Storm clouds, sunset, and all, it was a moment none of us will forget. ✨

Here is the truth behind the celebration: everything we do is powered by our caregivers, our community teams, and our leaders. The early mornings, the extra mile, the kindness you bring to every family you touch. Last night was our chance to say what we feel every day. Thank you. 💙
