We had a wonderful time at the Greathouse Shryock Elementary Orientation!

It was great meeting so many families and sharing more about what makes RSM different. At RSM, students go beyond memorizing formulas and procedures. They develop logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, number sense, and a deep conceptual understanding of mathematics through challenging problems and engaging discussions.

We’re excited to bring our RSM math enrichment program to Greathouse/Shryock with after-school classes on Thursdays! Students will have the opportunity to explore math in new ways, tackle challenging problems, and build the confidence to become strong mathematical thinkers.

We’re currently enrolling for our Thursday classes! If you’d like to learn more, come see us at the Greathouse Open House on August 25th. We’d love to answer your questions and help you find the right class for your child.

Meet Mrs. Irina! 🍎
We're excited to introduce one of our dedicated teachers, Mrs. Irina! As she begins her ninth year teaching at RSM, she brings not only years of classroom experience but also the unique perspective of being an RSM parent!

Mrs. Irina is passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and discover the joy of mathematics. She creates a positive, encouraging classroom where every student feels supported as they learn and grow.

We're grateful to have Mrs. Irina as part of the RSM Louisville team and can't wait for another great year of learning!

That's a wrap on our Summer Program!

What a wonderful summer it has been! Over the past several weeks, our students have strengthened their mathematical foundations, tackled challenging problems, and grown into even more confident thinkers.

We wrapped up the program with some of our favorite logic games and puzzles; a reminder that mathematics is about much more than computation. At RSM, we believe in developing critical thinking, creativity, and perseverance through engaging challenges that make learning both meaningful and fun.

Thank you to our incredible students, families, and teachers for making this summer such a success. We are so proud of everything our students have accomplished and can't wait to continue the journey with you this fall!

The final week of our Summer Program is here! ☀️

At RSM, math is about much more than finding the right answer. It's about developing logical thinking and learning to solve problems in creative ways. In today's lesson, our students explored comparing expressions without calculating, using hands-on magnets to help them visualize their thinking and explain their reasoning.

We're so proud of the hard work, curiosity, and perseverance our students have shown throughout the summer. It's been a joy to watch them grow into more confident mathematical thinkers, and we can't wait to continue that journey with them this fall!

🍎 Meet Ms. Taylor!

Ms. Taylor graduated from North Park University in Chicago with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Special Education. She spent several years teaching 3rd and 4th grade in Raleigh, North Carolina before moving to Kentucky with her husband and children in 2024.

When she's not in the classroom, Ms. Taylor enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite part of teaching is watching students grow in both their confidence and their abilities.
