Serving the Kentuckiana area faithfully since 1996, local owners Dawn Smithwick and Terry Graham have committed their life’s vocation to serving others. Dawn brings compassion and a kind heart to her work in geriatric social work, while Terry has over 40 year’s experience as a Registered Nurse (RN). Helping Hands strives to provide quality, personal, customized care to meet each family’s needs. You or your loved one will receive only the best care, attention and support!

Whether you or your senior wants companionship, needs assistance accomplishing daily tasks a few hours a day or requires up to 24-hour care, Helping Hands promises to provide a caregiver personally matched to the specific needs of you or your loved one. Helping Hands’ caregivers are drug tested, background checked, bonded and insured, but most importantly, we ensure they bring compassion, love and understanding in order to provide a sense of dignity to stressful or sensitive situations. Helping Hands employs professionally trained caregivers for short term or long-term care. Caregivers provide services such as: personal care, including bathing and dressing,
meal planning and preparation, grocery store outings, errands, medication reminders, light housekeeping, laundry, transportation, companionship, activity assistance and much more.

Our owners complete a professionally conducted assessment free of charge. Please take advantage of this opportunity since assessments are designed to customize and personalize care for you or your loved one. Helping Hands takes pride in providing services that meet the needs and wants of each of our clients, on an individualized, day to day basis – you won’t find a more personalized care plan anywhere else.

Helping Hands offers services up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week and are available to provide care to meet the specific needs of you or your loved one in the following places:
personal residences,
rehabilitation facilities,
independent and assisted living facilities,
hospitals,
nursing homes,
long-term care facilities,
as well as partnering with Hosparus for end of life care.

Helping Hands is licensed in Kentucky and Indiana as a non-medical, personal service agency. We exist to serve the heart of Kentuckiana with experience, compassion and dedication in order to increase the quality of life for you, or your senior, on a hourly, daily or weekly basis.
