TOP FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT REACH PEER ASSISTED LEARNING (PAL)
1. Free, flexible academic support — PAL is completely voluntary and free, so you can drop in when you need extra support without committing to a program.
2. Learn from someone who’s been there — PAL Leaders are fellow UofL students who have successfully completed the course and can share practical strategies and firsthand insights.
3. Make your study time more efficient — PAL goes beyond reviewing lecture material by helping you identify what to learn, practice applying it, and develop effective study strategies.
4. Prepare strategically for exams — Get targeted course-to-course review, worksheets, practice exams, and exam-focused sessions designed around mastering specific course content.
5. A proven academic advantage — REACH research shows that PAL participants typically earn ½ to 1 full letter grade higher than students who do not participate.

TOP FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT REACH MATH TUTORING
1. Drop-in A&S Math tutoring: Math Resource Center (BAB 241), Mon.–Thu., 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Help with GEN 103/104, MATH 105, 111, 180, 190, 205, and 206.
2. Drop-in Speed Engineering Math tutoring: Speed Tutoring Center (ESSRB 224), Mon.–Thu., 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; Fri., 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Help with ENGR 181, 100, 101, 102, 201, and 205.
3. Study and get help. Both centers offer collaborative spaces for homework and group study. 94% of students say drop-in tutoring improved their academic skills. No appointment needed!
4. At the MRC location in BAB 241, math textbooks, solution manuals, and a minicomputer lab are available for student use.

TOP FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE REACH LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER

1. Get weekly academic support. The Learning Resource Center (LRC) offers small-group tutoring for questions, guided study, and weekly review. UofL students who use tutoring earn higher GPAs than those who don’t.
2. Three convenient LRC locations. Tutoring is available at the Belknap Academic Building, Engineering Student Success and Research Building, and Ekstrom Library. Your appointment confirmation will tell you where to go.
3. Build stronger learning strategies. Small-group tutoring helps you sharpen critical-thinking skills, develop effective study strategies, and become a more independent learner. 95% of students say LRC tutoring improved their academic skills.
4. Need individualized support? Individual and extended tutoring accommodations are available through REACH for students with documented disabilities registered with the Disability Resource Center. Contact [email protected].
