This is disappointing but…I think most people familiar with the industry knew that a $40K F150 Lightning wouldn’t be a real thing - at least not for long.

From the unfortunate crazy dealer markups to the reality that exotic metals are expensive, this was to be expected.

If you want an electric pickup, it’s probably still reasonable. It’s not like nicely appointed gasoline pickups are cheap anymore!

Ford increases F-150 Lightning price, now starts at $56,000 Ford has increased the price of the base F-150 Lightning. The electric pickup truck now starts at $56,000 – up 40% from the original price.
