Connecting homeschool families with nature in the greater Louisville area. We organize outdoor meet-ups for homeschool families in the greater Louisville area.

Our goal is to connect folks with nature and each other while learning more about our local outdoor environment. Our meet-ups are unstructured and play focused, but we often provide either a short activity or materials the kids can use to enhance their learning as they play. Last week our group visited Anchorage Trail - a beautiful 2 mile loop featuring an old amphitheater, tree swing, pond, and lovely bridges. The kids had a great time building squirrel homes, climbing trees, and exploring.

Whitehall hosted us for a fantastic field trip all about the ecology of KY. The kids got to pet a worm snake, two kinds of turtles, and a green frog. They also got to see some fascinating venomous snakes (from a safe distance). And they finished up with some delicious cake! Thanks to Dan and Judy Dourson for a wonderful program.

It's creek season! The rain held off so we could spend the afternoon at Beckley Creek. We are looking forward to many more sunny days in the water this season.

A great day at Blackacre! We explored the springhouse, played on hay bales, and climbed in the barn. A little clouds and mud don't stop these kids!

We had our Halloween meetup last week. The parents did an amazing job bringing games, crafts, and treats. The kids had so much fun dressing up and playing at Cherokee Park. The trees were INCREDIBLE too.
