💎💯AGREE or DISAGREE w/Gary V⁉️ This applies to parenting AND coaching❗️❗️❗️ What has happened to our athletes is what has happened to our kids in general. Have talked about this over and over. I even wrote a book about it. Our kids aren't failing because this generation "doesn't get it." They are failing because we, as parents, have totally abandoned the way that we were brought up and deemed it either unnecessary or too much. Of course everything doesn't require a spanking. But somethings still do. Kids should not be making decisions of great magnitude on their own. That is something that is earned by making smaller inconsequential decisions along the way until we assess whether our kids WILL make good decisions. This is so important to me because being a father is the toughest job in the world. We can no longer be who we were designed to be because we have a bunch of people telling us how the parent. Only problem is the ones writing about the best way to parent have only done it in theory. #Basketball #Life #Sports

What a privilege it was to have school board member, Cory Shull, come speak to Ms. Shipman and Ms. Raidt’s 1st grade classes about COMMUNITY in support of our social studies lessons this week.

Mr. Shull reminded our students that they are our communities’ FUTURE and they already carry within them the civic traits of KINDNESS, FAIRNESS, RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, and EMPATHY.
He then went on to add RESILIENCE and RESOURCEFULNESS to our list!
