What a week at A.M.P. Camp!
This past week, we hosted A.M.P. Camp (Animals, Mechanics, and Plants) as part of the FCS Career Camp program. The camp hosted rising 6th–8th grade students from across Franklin County for four days of hands-on learning, career exploration, and lots of fun!
Campers explored a wide variety of agricultural careers and topics through lessons, labs, projects, guest speakers, and activities. Throughout the week, students learned about dairy cattle, alpacas, greenhouse production, soil science, plant production, agricultural mechanics, agricultural products, and more!
A special thank you to our guest speakers and volunteers who shared their knowledge, experiences, and passion for agriculture with our campers. We are especially grateful to Ms.Stewart, Miss Lilah (NC Watermelon Queen), Bryant Nelms, Mr.Place, and everyone who helped make this week possible.
We also want to recognize our incredible Louisburg FFA Officers! Their leadership, enthusiasm, and willingness to teach, mentor, and assist campers were absolutely vital to the success of AMP Camp. Thank you to Lily, Abby, Jackie, Celeste, Chloe, Lana, and Isabella for their time and hard work!
