BUGS, INSECTS, and MORE! 🐜🦟🪲🪳🐞

We have been slacking on posting pictures of our last few weeks at the playhouse. Just means we’ve been BUSY BEES 🐝

We have had a blast of a time celebrating spring, sunshine, flowers, warmer weather, etc. We released our caterpillars on April 23 and are happy to report all 5 survived and flew away healthy! The past two weeks we have been discussing bugs and insects. We made ladybugs and dragonflies and we also molded bugs in Playdoh.

HAPPY EASTER PLAYHOUSE FAM!

We have been enjoying this spring weather outdoors as much as possible! We have also been discussing rain, why it’s important in the spring, how flowers grow and what they need, and lifecycle of a butterfly as we watch our caterpillars grow. This past week we did some super fun Easter activities.

SPRING TIME 🌸🪻🌺🌼🌻🌷

We spent last week introducing spring. We started by discussing the different seasons and then we focused on spring, flowers growing, trees budding, etc. We also received our caterpillars in the mail! We are going to watch them grow over the next few weeks AND watch them turn into butterflies. We will keep you updated on those! We also got a PLAYSET!!!!!!!!!! The kiddos are so excited to have something big to play on outside. See our pictures for our fun activities!

ST PATTY’S DAY WEEK 🍀🌈

We focused on shamrocks, the color green, and being lucky this week! We played a pot of gold counting game, made lots of fun art, made St. Patty’s Day Slime, and spent lots of time outside! Yay for spring!

RAINBOW WEEK!! 🌈🌈

This week (in honor of St. Patty's Day on Monday), we focused on rainbows and all of the beautiful colors we see in them. We incorporated some science experiments into our week to bring the rainbow to life and worked on letter recognition. We are also gearing up for April with an Easter sensory bin. We enjoyed the nice weather this week!

DR SUESS WEEK 💙❤️

We had such a fun spirit week celebrating Dr. Seuss. We took lots of pictures and some are not the greatest, but we wanted to share our super busy and interactive week.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY ❤️❤️❤️

It has been a BUSY two weeks at the playhouse as we have been crafting, learning, counting, practicing letter recognition, etc. You’ll have to check out our pictures for the week to see all the fun we had! We love having celebrations at the playhouse and Valentine’s Day is always super sweet. Ms. Livvie and I were blessed with some beautiful hand crafted valentines from our friends as well as some thoughtful gifts from our daycare families.

2025 is off to a wonderful start!!

HAPPY 2025!!

We didn’t do a great job sharing our month of January with everyone so we are logging on now to do so.

We spent most of the month of January talking about WINTER and Arctic animals! We played with fake snow, real snow, discussed animals that live in the cold, made some super fun winter crafts, etc. We have been busy busy!!

We also now have learning binders that we put together for our older friends so be sure to check those out too!

MERRY PLAYHOUSE CHRISTMAS!!!!! 🎄

The past two weeks at the playhouse have been so BUSSYYYYYY but so worth it!!!! We have been working away like little elves to create some magical Christmas crafts, keepsakes and parent gifts. Thankfully all of our kiddos love crafting and creating. Today was pajama day and we dropped the ball on getting any pictures today 🙃 BUT we had such a nice evening celebrating Christmas with a parent Christmas party! Our families joined us this evening for the Grinch, snacks, pajamas, a presents.

The Playhouse is truly so grateful for each of these precious babes. Praying for a safe and fun Christmas and New Year for all of our families and theirs. May we Play, Learn, Grow and Develop even more in 2025!

LATE THANKSGIVING WEEK 🍂🍁🦃

Hi friends! I realized we never posted our Thanksgiving week activities so here they are!! We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We are busy this week and next prepping for Christmas!!

KINDNESS WEEK 🤝

We had such a nice week celebrating World Kindness Day. We made our whole week about kindness, sharing, manners, and being the best of friends! Our friends are super kind and we are so blessed to spend each day with each of them. Check out our pictures to get a glimpse of what we did this week!

PICNIC WEEK!

This week was all about picnics! We counted picnic foods, practiced letter recognition by discussing what each food started with, and made a picnic book. Our older friends are getting to be pros at number recognition and counting. We are very proud of them.

Today we had a picnic on the back porch and all of our friends enjoyed it so much! It wasn’t too hot but definitely a warm day for November. We were grateful it didn’t rain. Such a fun week celebrating one of our friend’s 2nd birthday and all things food!
