Our Diabetes Support Group had another delicious hands-on lesson! 🥙 Participants made their own white bean spread and then built tasty steak pitas with fresh ingredients... including lettuce grown in our hydroponics lab and tomatoes fresh from our raised beds! 🥬🍅

It might sound like an interesting combination, but they were absolutely delicious! 😋 We love showing that healthier food choices can still be full of flavor, fresh, and fun to make. 💙

💙 Homemakers Leader Lesson Day was such a wonderful day of learning for everyone!

It was great spending the day with so many Homemakers from Lawrence, Martin, Johnson, Floyd, Pike, and Magoffin counties. A special thank you to Floyd County for being such gracious hosts!

Our Homemakers brought home lots of valuable educational information and new ideas to share in their own counties. That’s what Extension is all about... learning more, sharing with others, and always working to be the best we can be. 💙

So thankful for our Homemakers and the difference they continue to make in their communities!

🍉🌽🥕 Our Kids Farmers Market was FABULOUS! 🍎🥒💙

We had the BEST time at the Kids Farmers Market last week! We loved seeing so many kids stop by to visit us!

We gave away lots of fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, along with kids’ tattoos, Wally Cat masks, prizes, and other goodies. The kids played games, including Toss the Chicken and our Lucky Duck game, and there were plenty of smiles and laughs along the way! 🐔🦆😺

A HUGE thank you to all of the local farmers and businesses who helped make the day possible. Your generosity and support made this event extra special for our kids. ❤️

And an especially big THANK YOU to our Farmers Market Coordinator, Stacy Jordan! We appreciate everything she does to make our Farmers Market such a success! 🍉🌽🥕

We are excited to announce the fourth annual "Harvest Moon Gala," a farm-to-table fundraising dinner to benefit the Lawrence County 4-H and FFA programs. This special event will take place on September 24th at the Lawrence County Extension Office, celebrating our local agricultural community and supporting the future leaders in farming and agriculture.
🌕✨ Get ready for an enchanting evening! ✨🌕
📅 Save the Date: Tickets will go on sale August 11th, at 1:30 PM. Last year AND the year before was a sold-out event , so be sure to grab your tickets early!
