Rising Star Martial Arts was founded in 1995 by Loudonville native, Christine (Byers) Fisher. We are a fulltime Martial Arts dojo that offers group and private lessons for children, teens and adults. Students develop focusing skills, coordination, confidence and physical fitness in addition to learning practical Self-Defense skills. Our foundation is based upon traditional Japanese/Okinawan Martia

l Arts. Students of all ages who want to challenge themselves beyond regular class requirements are welcome to participate on our travelling competition/demo team. Rising Star Instructors also teach Self-Defense programs for public school districts, church groups and private businesses.

CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS to Mikey Fuller for successfully passing his "SuRpRiSe" 6th Kyu Orange Belt test Thursday night during his regular class! He had no clue, his classmates had no clue and were taken along for the ride. You see, he was scheduled to test 2 weeks ago but a vehicle ran him off the road one morning while he was riding his scooter to work and he sustained multiple injuries. Now that he's healed up, it was time to SWEAT! And sweat he does... henceforth my face and everyone's amusement while I was tying on his belt. Great work, Mikey!

As July comes to a close, we want to say CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS to our Kyu rank students who have successfully passed their Belt Tests this summer! It's easy to get distracted by other activities, but these students worked hard and continued their training. We are proud of each of you! ❤️🥋🖤
