Congratulations!! A Big Plus for Local History.

📢 Exciting news! The Cleo Redd Fisher Museum is proud to announce our acquisition of the historic Copus Hill site, renowned as the location of the War of 1812 Copus Massacre. This property has been lovingly preserved for over 200 years by the Copus family and was donated to the museum by the family of Roberta Wenninger Clinger Harpster, a descendant of Rev. James Copus. We are honored to continue their legacy.

We’re beginning cleanup efforts now and will expand preservation work in the spring. Volunteers and donations are vital to help clear debris, repair fences, and make the site accessible for future visitors.

We’re also working to create interpretive programs and tours to share the site’s remarkable history. Join us in preserving this landmark!

Jared Pickering was the winner of the main dinner eats.

So clean up weekend was great got a lot done thanks to the help of Eli Arnold, Jared Pickering, Dennis Campbell, Jerry Teel, Ernie Hopkins. Special thanks to MaryAnn Arnold for all the great sandwiches. Not much time for pictures but here are 2

Well hello. I hope all had a great fourth weekend. We have clean up this weekend need wood cut and area worked on. I will be there Friday afternoon and hope to see as many people as possible for Saturday and Sunday. This is for the gathering at the outpost.

The Outpost would like to thank Robert and Eli of Stynk Hill Rendezvouses for their Help in the planting of over 60 trees. The trees came from Knox County Pheasants Forever and Stynk Hill will be receiving a Membership for all their Help!
