I cannot brag on these students enough! Today they stepped out of their comfort zones and read to students at Loudon Elementary School for Read Across America Week. Their confidence was shining as they read, and it was an amazing experience for them. I am also very proud of the peer mentors that came along and gave encouragement to our students. Thank you to Loudon Elementary for allowing us to come! We have some amazing schools, students, teachers, and staff in this county!

Yesterday we took a little trip. We stopped at Walmart to buy cookies and took them to the employees at Home Depot. Home Depot has donated several items for our greenhouse project, and we wanted to show our appreciation. In the upcoming weeks, we will be planting herbs and selling to the general public. These kids are busy!

Last week was extremely busy for our class! Wednesday, we took a field trip to Walmart and Blaze pizza. Students purchased Christmas gifts for their friends and family. It was so much fun helping and watching what the kids chose. They also drew names with classmates, and on Thursday they wrapped and opened gifts.

We had a great time today making lunch and delivering to our teacher friends at Loudon Elementary School. The students were so excited to visit with their past teachers and also meeting new ones. We were enjoying ourselves so much that I forgot to snap photos inside the school. We hope to continue this service to every school in Loudon.
