I am so proud of my Teaching as a Profession 1 class. They have completed a 10 week course through Roane State Community College TECTA program and received 30 hours orientation certificate for the School Age Orientation. On Friday, Emily Belitz and Jessica Jones came to present the students with a party and their certificates. A huge thank you to Roane State TECTA and to these ladies for partnering with our class.

The first week of school was great. The Intro class worked on Growth Mindset and Setting Goals for the year. Today to end the week we chose an affirmation word for the year. To keep us focused and reminded of the words they chose, we made affirmation bracelets.

I could not be prouder of these girls. These girls are the first group to finish all three courses of the Teaching as a Profession program. It has been a pleasure teaching these Future Teachers. What a blessing they have been to me and will be to others when they have their own classrooms and a class to pour knowledge and love into. I can’t wait to see what they accomplish.
