Today, we pause to learn, reflect, and honor.

On Columbus Day, we recognize the voyages and exploration that shaped history, while also honoring the Indigenous peoples who lived on and cared for these lands long before European arrival.

At Benjamin Franklin Academy, we believe history is best understood by learning the full story—including the accomplishments, experiences, contributions, and perspectives of those who came before us.

As we celebrate discovery and the pursuit of knowledge, may we also remember the importance of respect, responsibility, and learning from the past as we build the future.
