In 1964, Gerri Whittington stood in the White House alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other leaders during a defining moment in the Civil Rights Movement. Naming a street in her honor would ensure that her courage, service, and connection to history are remembered for generations.

A heartfelt thank you to our public safety departments for your dedicated service to Lothian and communities across Anne Arundel County.

National Night Out is a reminder that strong communities are built through partnership, trust, and open communication. I appreciate the opportunity to connect with our law enforcement officers, first responders, community organizations, and neighbors who work every day to keep our communities safe.

I look forward to continuing to learn, share information with our community, and encourage greater understanding and participation in the decisions that shape our future.
