"I love breaking wrists."
That's the hook — and it's true. Wrist locks are one of the most practical self-defense tools you can develop, and they're standard across BJJ, Aikido, and police defensive tactics.
Mangisursuro Mike Inay always emphasized technique over force. Here we demonstrate three:
1. Standard BJJ wrist lock
2. Inverted (reverse) wrist lock
3. Outside wrist lock — effective after a grab or a punch
This is basic self-defense, and it's what we teach at the Bay Area School of Escrima.

The lead elbow does two things at once — it strikes and it traps.
This two-elbow combination is a cornerstone technique in Inayan Eskrima, rooted in the Filipino martial arts legacy of the late Mangisursuro Mike Inay. The lead arm pulls your opponent's head forward and off-balance, setting up the rear elbow for maximum impact. The whole system is built on physics, geometry, and precision — so you don't need size or strength to be dangerous.
We teach this at the Bay Area School of Escrima in Los Gatos, California.

Would you know how to use your belt to stop a knife attack?
This knife disarm comes from the flexible weapon traditions of Southeast Asia — systems developed in the Philippines and Indonesia and brought to the West by instructors like Mangisursuro Mike Inay. The method: parry the attack with a cloth weapon, snake into control, and strip the knife before your attacker can reset.
Watch BJJ black belt Patrick do the same thing with just his headband. It's not a movie trick — it's a method that has survived centuries of real application because it works.
