St. Mary School Los Gatos

St. Mary School in Los Gatos is a Catholic community dedicated to educating the whole child.

We believe that every child is created in the image and likeness of God. We believe in the importance of the faith community in living and modeling Gospel values. We believe parents/guardians are the primary educators of their children, while teachers facilitate and complement the learning process. We believe and strive to create an environment that allows a child to learn and grow while developing a sense of responsibility for self and others.

A beautiful first Mass of the school year. 💙

Our 5th graders led us in Mass and helped our school community come together in prayer and celebration. During Mass, they also received their Bibles, which they will use throughout their journey at St. Marys.

Back to School Night gave parents a chance to step into their students’ shoes for the night! 🎉💙💛

Parents connected with teachers, visited classrooms, and got a closer look at what their students will be learning and experiencing this year. We loved having everyone join us and are looking forward to all that’s ahead! 🥰

Kickstarting the year with creativity and collaboration! 🎨

Our new Student Council came together to plan and prepare for an incredible school year. After brainstorming ideas, they bonded over pottery painting at Petroglyph and shared dinner, building the foundation for a year full of memorable moments. 📝

Our Buddy Family Scavenger Hunt brought new families and their buddy families together to explore campus and have some fun! 🕵️‍♀️

The afternoon included different stops around campus, plenty of teamwork, and a fun bonus at the end: a free dress pass for all! 😊

Happy First Day of School! 💙💛

Our campus was full of excitement this morning as families arrived, first-day photos were taken, and everyone settled into the start of a new year. We loved seeing our parents catch up and connect over coffee in the gym, too!

So happy to have our Cougar community back together.

Today, campus came alive again! 💙💛

Our Teacher Meet & Greet was the perfect way to kick off the excitement for a new school year. Students met their new teachers, explored their new classrooms, and families reunited with old friends while welcoming new ones into the SMS community!

Families also got their first look at our beautifully refreshed elementary wing! We loved seeing campus filled with so much energy, excitement, and familiar faces again. We can’t wait for what’s ahead! 🐾

Some of the best school memories are made outside the classroom. 💛

Every year, our fourth graders travel to Coloma for Gold Rush Camp, where California history comes to life through hands-on learning. Along the way, they grow in confidence, strengthen friendships, and make memories they’ll carry with them long after fourth grade. ⛏️
