Juniper Tree is a not-for-profit, holistic enrichment program serving ages 5 to 10 in South San Jose, California. Our home-based program is inspired by holistic approaches to education which focus on the development of the whole child. What a beautiful way to end the school year! 🎓✨

Last Friday we celebrated our students with graduation ceremonies, performances, and a delicious luncheon catered by 5 Star Tacos alongside a wonderful grazing table spread prepared by Chef Carmela, who provides our monthly organic school lunches. A special highlight was dessert, created by some of our Culinary students as part of their cake baking and decorating unit. The foyer was transformed into a student art gallery showcasing beautiful artwork created throughout the year.
We are so proud of our students and grateful for our amazing families, teachers, and community. Wishing everyone a wonderful summer!

Living History Day - Our students researched and portrayed historical figures, dressed in costume, shared presentations in character, and walked among guests as living exhibits. We also enjoyed a wonderful potluck featuring foods inspired by different time periods and cultures. It was a memorable day of learning, community, and bringing the past to life!

Our students recently transformed the classroom into a Human Body System Museum! 🫀🧠🦴🫁

Each student chose a human body system to research and build, including the skeletal, nervous, digestive, respiratory, and circulatory systems. Using mostly recyclable materials, students designed creative hands-on models and presented their learning to the class.

To culminate the project, we invited students from other grades to visit the museum exhibits. Our students loved answering questions, teaching younger students, and explaining how each body system works. It was wonderful seeing them combine science, creativity, public speaking, and collaboration in such a meaningful way.

A few beautiful acrylic paintings from our middle school art students this week!
What stands out most is that each piece feels personal, expressive, and full of imagination. These are not cookie-cutter “everyone painted the same thing” projects. Each student brought their own artistic vision and atmosphere into their work, from dreamy underwater scenes to peaceful moonlit landscapes and imaginative space art.

🌸 Our Spring Faire was truly magical! 🌸

It was the perfect spring day with just the right touch of sunshine to keep us warm and smiling. We had over 20 amazing vendors. We enjoyed delicious, wholesome food, beautiful handmade products, and thoughtful services throughout the event. The free pony and horse rides were such a special highlight and brought so much joy to the day!

I am incredibly proud of our student entrepreneurs. They have been working on their businesses since the fall—planning, creating, and preparing, and it truly showed. Many of them made impressive profits, ranging from $100 to over $600!

More than anything, it was so special to see our community come together to support these students and celebrate their hard work.
