Middle School Fine Arts: Exploring Shadow & Light

Autumn Fieldtrip - Beautiful day and weather at Webb Ranch Pumpkin Patch. We enjoyed a tractor ride, bouncing in the jumpy houses, navigating the cornfield obstacle course, and exploring the haunted house!

Our first Juniper Tree Student Café, led by our fabulous teacher Ms. Vanessa, was a success — the students sold out! 🥖🧋✨

Since it was their very first café, they started simple and made a small batch of homemade sourdough focaccia and boba drinks.
The students were involved in the whole process — they created the menu, prepared the food and drinks, set up the café and cash register, served customers, and handled sales.

We’re so proud of them and can’t wait to see how the Student Café grows this year! 💚

Juniper Tree Student Café — New This Year!
Our young Middle School chefs will be opening their very first Student Café this Friday from 2pm to 3:15 PM!

This week’s menu:
Organic Boba Drink — $4
*made with organic tea (non-caffeinated), organic milk (dairy and non-dairy) and organic boba pearls

Handmade Organic Focaccia Bread — $4/slice
*made completely from scratch

If you would like a fresh afternoon snack, stop by and give them a try! The Student Café will be set up at the front entrance of Juniper Tree (16555 Shannon Rd, Los Gatos, CA 95032).

They’ll accept cash, Venmo, or Zelle.
All proceeds will go directly back into the Student Café to help our students purchase more fresh, local ingredients for future café days.

Chemistry Class - Our students have been exploring atomic structure, subatomic particles, density, and physical vs. chemical reactions through hands-on experiments.
They created colorful density layers using water, sugar, and food coloring—forming hypotheses, testing different concentrations, and observing the results. They also had some messy fun making slime from everyday household products while investigating physical and chemical changes!

Our 8th Annual Friendship Tea Party! ☕️✨

Everyone dressed in their best while practicing the life skill of good etiquette. Our younger students put on their best table manners while enjoying tea and chatting with friends and their favorite stuffies. ❤️

Our older students dressed in a 1920s–1950s theme and practiced good business etiquette through a fun Whodunnit Mystery Game—mingling with their peers, gathering clues, and trying to uncover the culprit.

We also had a fun boba tea station, along with tea sandwiches and plenty of treats to enjoy!

We ended the celebration with some fun dance games like limbo and plenty of music and movement!

UC A–G Academics • Live In-Person Classes • Flexible Pathways

We’ll be opening 9th grade for the 2027–28 school year, with UC A–G-approved coursework in partnership with Silicon Valley High School, plus live in-person classes, electives, projects, PE, field trips, career exploration, and community.

Flexible pathways will include College Prep, Early College, Career & Trade, and Entrepreneurship.

Week 3: Students enjoyed choir, chess, LEGO robotics, hand sewing, PE (disc golf & paddle ball) and more. We love giving kids a mix of creativity, movement, problem-solving, and hands-on learning throughout the week.

🍕🔥 Make-Your-Own Earth Oven Pizza Party!

Our Juniper Tree students and families had such a fun afternoon making their own pizzas and watching them bake in the earth oven. Then we gathered under the tent in the beautiful courtyard to eat and enjoy the perfect sunny, breezy weather. ☀️🌿

A special thank you to Congregation Shir Hadash for hosting us, setting up, firing up the oven, and to Sam for baking all of our delicious pizzas! ❤️
