✨Have you met Coach Kevin??✨

This year, the Home and School Club has funded this amazing coach so the 1st-5th graders have access to organized games on the upper field EVERY DAY at lunch!

As a yard duty volunteer, I'm extra excited about this. Having both open ended play AND organized games during free time helps students regulate during class time, build crucial motor and social skills, and love being at school!

You can also join the Garden Club, Mileage Club, and Dad's Club! This is also the place to sign up to help with planning or helping at the bookfaire, family dance, fantasy fair, movie night spring auction, multicultural night, walkathon, yearbooks, and spirit wear!

🍦🍕Pizza and Ice Cream Social🍕🍦

Wow, ANOTHER dinner this week that our school has figured out for us! Join us on Friday between 5:30-7 for FREE pizza and ice cream!

Personally, I'm excited to finally have an opportunity to reconnect with other grown ups I haven't seen all summer, and to meet and welcome all the new Alta Vista families! We love our community 🥰

✨ EXCITING NEWS✨ We have lots of open slots for yard duty volunteers starting next week!!! Choose to hang out with the awesome kids and other yard duties in the TK, Kindergarten, Primary, or Intermediate areas! You can also mix and match different days of the week!

Email Maura at [email protected] to let her know when you can come! No experience required 😁 As you can see, we have a lot of fun 🤪

I personally love seeing the TK or Kindergarteners at 11:30, and then hopping over at 12:20 once a week with my primary student, and once a week with my big intermediate kid! Alta Vista students are AMAZING!!!

We need $400 per student to find all the enrichment activities and supplies not covered by the district.

Did you know that Alta Vista does not receive funding for items such as classroom supplies, music, clay, art & field trips?? We rely 100% on family donations to support these activities! The AVHSC funds what is not otherwise funded by the district including crossing guards, field trips & buses, classroom supplies & activities, project cornerstone, music, multicultural night, community events, clay, art vistas, garden club, movie night, author visits, school t-shirts, olympic day, mileage club, class parties, variety show, and more!
