Meet Lindsey! Teacher Lindsey works in our youngest Barvazim room. She has been education k-5 grade for over 12 years, but started ECE after having her own child. Learning about early development is her passion! She says "I love working with 18-month-olds because this is when development really starts to skyrocket! They are learning, absorbing, and experiencing so much every day. I love getting to be part of that process and helping make this exciting stage of development feel safe, supported, and fun as they explore and figure out the world around them." when not at school... "A fun fact about me is that I love gardening! I’m always trying to grow something new, and I especially love watching my daughter discover and explore the garden with me. When I’m not gardening, you can usually find me lifting weights, making art, or spending time with my family. "

Did someone say Meet the Teachers? Rounding out our twos program is Teacher Sami! She has been with us for 4 years now, all of which she has spent in the Dubonim classroom. She also works as an afternoon Office Coordinator for us. Her favorite thing about that age is getting to see each child blossom into their own unique self. Outside of school, Sami performs in local musical theater productions.

At our school, education is a shared journey - and a strong partnership starts with shared intentions.

Shared intentions between parents, teachers, and children to cultivate a thriving school environment for the year ahead. Our preschool parents and teachers wrote a shared "Brit" (covenant)—a collective pledge outlining our mutual values and commitment to nurturing a healthy, positive environment for every child.

This weeks meet the teacher is another from our twos program- Teacher Stephanie! She has worked in education for 8 years, and spent the last 3.5 here at APJCC Preschool. She started as a BT, and fell in love with the age and decided to pursue being a teacher herself! She loves working in a play based environment , and seeing the magic of children having the freedom to learn on their own, without a pen and paper. Her fun fact- she loves reading! Especially mystery novels. Thank you Stephanie, for all that you do.

Another week, another teacher we'd love to introduce!
Here is another one of the great Early Childhood Professionals here at the APJCC. Teacher Roneet is a teacher in our Dubonim classroom, in our half day twos program! Roneet is also our enrichment coordinator~ She comes with 7 years in ECE, with four of those being here with APJCC. What's her favorite part of teaching?
"Watching children grow right before your very eyes, and Sharing in their joy of an achievement. Watching the wonder in their eyes as they make new connections, and learning from them and the way they see the world."

When not teaching, you can find her on the stage as a performer, or off the stage as a director!
