What a special night at Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium as our Falcons hosted the Laredo Alexander Bulldogs for the first home game of the season!

We also celebrated Parents’ Night, honoring our Senior Falcon Football players, Athletic Trainers, Filmers, Cheer, and Stars. 💙🎓

A special shoutout to Adrian Perez, MFB Drum Major, for proudly performing the National Anthem. 🇺🇸

Every Thursday across Los Fresnos CISD, students and staff are encouraged to represent a college or university as part of College Awareness Thursday. It’s a fun tradition with an important purpose — helping our students see that their possibilities extend beyond graduation and encouraging them to start dreaming about their future today.

Whether it’s college, career training, or another path to continued education, our goal is to make sure every Falcon knows there are opportunities waiting for them after high school. Dream big Falcons!

🌟 Laureles Elementary School is the Campus Spotlight of the Week! 🌟

Our Laureles Mustangs had a wonderful day filled with learning, growth, and hands-on experiences! 💙🐴

🔬 Science Lab: Mrs. Gloria Lopez provides our 3rd–5th grade students with hands-on science experiences. Through investigations, experiments, and testing hypotheses, students bring classroom concepts to life while having fun learning!

🧠 SEL Counseling Lesson: Our counselor, Cristina Garcia, supports our students’ social-emotional growth through engaging lessons, roleplay, and real-life scenarios.

🎭 Learning Lab: Mrs. Clarissa Rojas’ PK class visits the unique Learning Lab twice a week, where students learn through purposeful play. From visiting a grocery store to stopping by the salon, our youngest Mustangs practice communication, social skills, and meaningful interactions with their peers.

📣 Los Fresnos CISD Board Approves 2026–2027 Budget

The Los Fresnos CISD Board of Trustees has approved the district’s 2026–2027 budget during a special called Board Meeting, continuing its focus on responsible financial planning, supporting employees, and investing in student success.

Highlights include:
• $151.9 million operating budget
• Tax rate lowered to $0.870272 per $100 valuation
• 3% raise for professional and certified staff
• 4% raise for auxiliary, clerical, and instructional support staff
