This photo was taken by one of our divers this weekend, can you spot the very beautiful, but problematic fish? 🤔Scroll down to an older post to get the answer! Under natural lighting and at a few meters deep, you start to lose the red tones. Even artificial reefs can develop so well they get their own invasive species! 😬

Why the lionfish pic? The rigs are so established as an artificial reef, they even have their own invasive species! We have seen them there. Anyone have a Hawaiian sling? 😉😉😉

Fireworks displays make me think of some of the fireworks we see underwater. Some night dives are devoted to seeing bioluminescence, when organisms emit their own light. Or, you can do a "fluoro dive", where we take a special underwater UV light on the dive to show creatures fluorescing.
It all starts with your Advanced diver training, where you can do your first night dive. Or you can earn a specialty certification in Night Diving by doing a series of them.
In the nighttime, or the daytime, there is always something new to experience in the ocean! 😃

On this Father's Day, I know the things my kids will remember most about me is not the things I did FOR them, but the things I did WITH them.
I've had many families train together, and then take that training to go explore on vacation, diving together and seeing amazing things. While the obligations of day to day life can make us drift apart, its these experiences that draw us back together.
If your instinct says, "I should probably do that with them" or "I should probably take them on that trip", then go for it; that instinct is rarely wrong. 😉
