Join us Monday for the upcoming PCRF Clinical Journal Club as we examine a large observational study that used modern transportation modeling and more than 25,000 ambulance transports to estimate the true impact of emergent driving during patient transport. We will unpack the evidence behind lights and sirens use, explore the balance between urgency and risk, and discuss what this means for providers, patients, and EMS systems moving forward. https://ow.ly/bjnE50ZxfGm

We are saddened by the passing of Randy Mantooth.
While millions knew him as John Gage on Emergency!, the EMS community knows his impact reached far beyond television. His portrayal introduced generations to modern paramedicine, inspiring countless careers in emergency medical services. In the years that followed, he became a genuine advocate for the profession, honoring the dedication, service, and humanity of those who answer the call.
His story became part of ours. His legacy will continue to be carried forward by those who answer the call. https://ow.ly/8zWZ50Zn7qf
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Randy's family, friends, and the entire Emergency! community.

Join us on Monday July 13 for the next Clinical Journal Club webinar. In this episode, entitled “The Hardest Call in EMS: Is This Child Critical?” We’ll take on one of the most challenging questions in prehospital care: how do we know when a child is truly critically ill? Pediatric patients don’t always present the way we expect, and in the field, we’re often making high-stakes decisions with limited information and low frequency experience. The panel will explore a qualitative study that brings together perspectives from paramedics and physicians to better understand the realities of pediatric assessment.
