Thank you to everyone that attended our first virtual club meeting through Zoom! We had about 25 participants, discussed our experiences during this pandemic, and held officer elections. It was also one of the final meetings for many of our officers since they are transferring for Fall 2020! We will be making our officer announcements very soon!

Club Meeting #2 is our biannual Resume & Interview Workshop! Professor Loy will discuss how to craft, revise, and update resumes to land whatever job you’re going for. We will also cover strategies and approaches you can take in individual/group interviews.
Bring in your current resume to get it looked at! Don’t have a resume? No problem! We will also provide resume templates to help you get started.

”Hello Everyone- I’m Sahar Moore and I’m excited to be your new club president! My years at Pierce College have been amazing. I got to meet professionals who helped me a lot with getting rid of my fears in public speaking and how to communicate to others with respect. I’ve been a member of the Communication Association for two years and I will never forget the day where I met so many students that were studying the same major as me. We all connected very well. As President, I hope the club can help students write better resumes for their futures and also help them with their public speaking fears. Calling all Public Speaking Students! Save the date for our annual Public Speaking Tournament scheduled for Friday May 17, 2019 at 12:30 noon. All currently enrolled public speaking students are eligible to participate in either the informative or persuasive speaking category. Winners take home cash prizes and trophies! Audience members are invited to attend and enjoy the event. Extra Credit Opportunities are available for speakers and spectators! Free food & Fun!
