FIRST SOLO ON DAY 5! ✈️🇺🇸

Congratulations to Mr. Keagan Lyte Adams from the USA for successfully completing his First Solo Flight on Day 5 at Van Nuys, California, USA.

A first solo is one of the most unforgettable milestones in a pilot’s journey—the moment when preparation, discipline, confidence, and flying skills come together.

Through 14DAYPILOT’s focused accelerated training, professional instructor guidance, and consistent daily progress, Keagan built the confidence and proficiency required to take full command of the aircraft in just five days.

Congratulations, Keagan!
Another major milestone achieved on your journey toward becoming a pilot. 🛫

When instructors come from different airlines, backgrounds, and training cultures, students can easily hear different ways of doing the same thing, and start asking: Which one is actually the standard?

The problem is not that different techniques exist. The problem starts when a personal technique, operator practice, or instructor preference is taught as if it were the standard! This will make the student confuses even more!

Good standardization should make the distinction clear:
What is the published standard? What is an internal procedure? And what is simply a technique?

Once that hierarchy is clear, instructors can still bring their experience into the classroom without creating unnecessary confusion for the student.

That is how standardization becomes scalable: not by making every instructor teach identically, but by making sure everyone knows what must remain consistent.

Our CEO & Chief Instructor, Capt.Dr.Gema Goeyardi,ATP,MCFI, took the APATS stage as an invited speaker presenting:

“Standardization that Scales: Aligning Procedures & Training Delivery for Consistent Outcomes.”

A conversation about how aviation training can maintain consistency as organizations, instructors, fleets, and operations continue to grow, without losing sight of what the standard actually is.

Proud to have 14DAYPILOT represented in this industry conversation at APATS 2026. ✈️

14DAYPILOT IS PROUD TO BE INVITED AS SPEAKER IN ASIA PACIFIC AVIATION TRAINING SUMMIT (APATS) 2026!

APATS brings together aviation training leaders, airlines, training organizations, and industry experts from across the region to exchange ideas on the future of aviation training.

Day 1 began with the invitation-only Heads of Training Meeting, in which our CEO & Chief, Capt Gema, along with the other stakeholders of airlines, ATO, and aviation companies exchange their insights about several critical issues in aviation industry aiming to find a solution for our better future of aviation.

The highlight came on Day 2, as Capt Gema took the APATS stage as an invited speaker presenting about Standardization, along with the real world scenarios both in FAA Part 61, 142 training, as well as in airline industry and how he has a highly efficient approach to handling the issues that came with it.

Proud to have 14DAYPILOT represented in this industry conversation at APATS 2026. ✈️

We hope to see you in APATS 2027!
Thank you APATS for having us! Halldale Group

HOW TO APPLY CRM WHEN 2 PILOTS HAVE A DISAGREEMENT? IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME!

Two pilots can follow the same SOP and still have different techniques.

That’s where CRM becomes important.

Not every disagreement in the cockpit means someone is wrong. The key is knowing the difference between what is standard and non-negotiable, what is an operator/internal procedure, and what is simply an individual technique or preference.

When both pilots understand that distinction, CRM is no longer about “winning” an argument. It becomes about communicating clearly, challenging when necessary, and aligning on the standard while still allowing professional judgment where the procedure gives room for it.

Our CEO & Chief Instructor, Capt.Dr.Gema Goeyardi,ATP,MCFI, took the APATS stage as an invited speaker presenting:

BOEING & AIRBUS
Positive Rate” or “Positive Climb”
CHOOSE STANDARDIZATION OR CRM GOAL?

The real issue is not choosing which callout sounds better. It is understanding what has been standardized for that aircraft and operation, and making sure both pilots are working from the same reference.

Different aircraft, operators, and procedures may use different terminology. Standardization gives the crew a common baseline; but CRM also makes sure that baseline is understood, communicated, and applied effectively by two different pilots in the same cockpit.

14DAYPILOT × AIRNAV INDONESIA WORKSHOP COLLABORATION FOR BETTER AND SAFER INDONESIA SKY

PART 10: EFFICIENT ARRIVAL SEQUENCING TIPS

How can ATC sequence arriving jets efficiently while still giving pilots enough room to manage the aircraft?

During our collaborative workshop with AirNav Indonesia Official, our CEO and Chief Flight Instructor, Capt. Dr. Gema Goeyardi, demonstrated arrival sequencing from the pilot’s perspective using a B737 MAX simulator.

Efficient sequencing is not simply about placing one aircraft behind another. Controllers also need to consider aircraft performance, speed, descent profile, wake turbulence, configuration, and the distance available before landing.

Inside the simulator, AirNav Indonesia ATC personnel experienced how frequent speed changes, late descent clearances, short track adjustments, or last-minute instructions can increase cockpit workload and make energy management more challenging.

A jet needs sufficient distance to descend, decelerate, configure for landing, complete the required procedures, and establish a stabilized approach.

Providing predictable track miles and timely speed or descent instructions can help pilots manage the aircraft more efficiently while allowing ATC to maintain consistent traffic flow and spacing.

The goal is not simply to get every aircraft to the runway as quickly as possible—it is to create a safe, predictable, and efficient arrival sequence.

When pilots and controllers understand each other’s operational needs, safety and efficiency can work together.

Through collaborations like this, 14DAYPILOT aims to support safer and more efficient operations throughout Indonesian airspace.

Thank you, AirNav Indonesia!
