Many of you have heard me talk with pride about "My little brother's glamping start-up" over the last two years. I have likely shared the story of pulling into the 80 acre property for the first time and listening to his vision for families to find a place to retreat and reconnect. I have told you how he's literally made each piece of furniture, every chandelier, and built each tent with his two hands. 1) We wanted a publication where women with a similar mindset (not just demographics), can see themselves reflected in its pages. Content featuring women of various ages, across different industries and from diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds, forging their own entrepreneurial path is in shortage. We need examples of what’s possible to inform our own pursuits. We need to listen and learn from one another's experiences. Considering your possibilities and pursuing your calling doesn’t end at a certain age. ...

2) Women need advice and resources when launching and growing their respective ventures.
When it comes to fashion, food, and fitness there is no shortage of information. But where do women go for entrepreneurial content? While women are starting businesses at a record pace, they are also failing at a record pace. We need to scaffold women with more than a simple “you’ve got this girl!” What's needed is (1) meaningful and actionable advice, and (2) resources and tips that will advance their steps and ultimately help them realize their potential in business and in life. ...

3) Women crave a tactile and personal experience that can enhance and inform their future. Studies have shown that a tactile experience is more valuable in the creative process. We are more likely to experiment with ideas when we put pen to paper. We are also more likely to achieve goals when we actually write them down. ...
