Rediscover Center We provide makers with the tools, resources, and confidence to engage in creative reuse and self-expression. In addition, we host birthday parties.

Founded in 2004, we combine reuse materials from households and businesses with powerful tools at our two permanent makerspaces and across LA. Creative Reuse Center for Kids and Adults, Tinkering, Building & Create what comes to your imagination! We have summer camps, after-school classes, drop in to Tinkering School LA anytime after 3 pm M-F. We host pop-up cardboard playgrounds at local parks on a regular basis. Each Sunday, Alex provides instruction, materials, and tools at Rediscover for giving you the creative potential to build amazing wooden projects with your own hands.

Come spend Friday night building the wildest little birdhouse you can dream up. Banana birdhouse? Tiny cereal box? Mini castle? Disco shack? Roadside diner for birds? We’re here for it.

This hands-on build night invites participants to get playful with shape, color, texture, and theme while learning basic building techniques in a relaxed studio environment. Bring your craziest idea, and our team will help you figure out how to make it real.
