Description of our Courses
BLS for Healthcare Providers:
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation. For healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course. This would also include nursing students, EMT students and anyone that is interested in becoming a BLS Instructor
BLS for Healthcare Providers and First Aid:
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course & First Aid covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation. The Heartsaver First Aid Class will include background information about emergency care, assessment, shock, soft tissue injuries, musculo-skeletal injuries, burns, and some forms of sudden illness. Immediate care for these and other situations will be discussed. The class will consist of lecture and live demonstration with first aid materials and training equipment. A written exam may be given at the instructor's discretion but no skill testing will be required. This would also include nursing students, EMT students and anyone that is interested in becoming a BLS Instructor
BLS For Healthcare Providers (Renewal):
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation. This would also include nursing students, EMT students and anyone that is interested in becoming a BLS Instructor
Heartsaver CPR AED:
The Heartsaver CPR Course teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults and children and infant CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for all ages. For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. (Healthcare Providers, including Nursing and EMT Students, please register for BLS for Healthcare Providers.) Heartsaver CPR AED & First Aid:
Heartsaver First Aid With CPR & AED is a classroom course that is designed to
meet OSHA requirements. The course teaches basic first Aid, CPR, and AED skills such as:
• Helping someone with a possible broken bone or sprain
• Giving CPR to an infant, child, or an adult
• Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Heartsaver First Aid Only:
This class will include background information about emergency care, assessment, shock, soft tissue injuries, musculo-skeletal injuries, burns, and some forms of sudden illness.
