Dear MI Community,
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved instructor, Barry Squire.

Barry was a pillar of the MI College of Music community, known not only for his extensive career but for the profound impact he had on our students and alumni. Over the course of his remarkable journey, Barry helped place MI students with some of the biggest artists in the world. He also played a pivotal role in helping countless others hone their skills and find success in their careers after graduation.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Barry’s dedication and generosity of spirit left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of working with him. He was not only a mentor but a matchmaker in the truest sense, connecting talent with opportunity and inspiring students to reach their full potential.

Barry’s contributions to MI were profound, and his loss will be deeply felt. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate his legacy and the many lives he touched.
