LAFD Youth Programs

LAFD Youth Programs The LAFD Youth Programs include Girls Camp, Fire/EMS High School Magnets, Youth FIRE program, and Cadets.

They are designed to teach life skills and are a progressive pathway to becoming a firefighter with the City.

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our dear colleague, Dr. Jimmy H. Hara, MD, FAAFP, Professor of Family Medicine in our College of Medicine and former Interim Associate Dean.

A dedicated physician, educator, mentor, and advocate, Dr. Hara devoted his life to advancing family medicine, mentoring generations of physicians, and serving underserved communities across Los Angeles.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family, his colleagues, and all who were touched by his life and work.
