Child Literacy and its affiliates adopt a comprehensive and pragmatic approach to ensure that the lack of resources does not become an obstacle in the path of a child’s development. Our members and the members of our affiliates, who are trained to ensure effectiveness in conduct and outcome, identify the children that need intervention. Once such children have been identified, our members work with the children's parents, other organizations and schools in the area to provide the necessary support to these children. Whenever help is needed, they step in to ensure the child progresses towards the desired objectives. Most of our members are local men and women who are well connected with local agencies. By focusing on specific needs of children in its areas of operation, Child Literacy is able to provide an effective solution to the problems of children at the root level. The ability to customize a solution for the situation has helped Child Literacy carve a niche for itself among social enterprises dedicated to the cause of child welfare. Child Literacy is owned and autonomously operated by its Board of Directors.
