Hollywood Schoolhouse

Hollywood Schoolhouse HSH knows, values, and encourages fearless curiosity. An independent school for grades Preschool-6.

Hollywood Schoolhouse is a community that nurtures, supports, and inspires students throughout their journey in primary education by balancing the best of progressive and traditional instruction. Our focus on academic excellence through a multifaceted curriculum creates students who thrive – with minds nourished, bodies solid, and voices strong. We are a community of engaged students, passionate educators, bold leaders, and invested parents who celebrate diversity and the everyday accomplishments that mark each individual’s growth. We work in concert to instill the joy of learning by providing students a safe place to take risks. At Hollywood Schoolhouse, we measure success not only by our graduates’ confidence, poise, and academic strength, but by the truly exceptional citizens they become.

Even on a warm night, our parents kept it cool as they bragged about being FANS of HSH! There was a true sense of community in the air at our Back to School Night, where parents learned about our plans for the year to come, visited their students' classrooms, and enjoyed one another's company on our wonderful campus.

One week ago today, Private School Village honored two of our Hollywood Schoolhouse families at PSV Honors. Join us in celebrating Sherita and Javier Trujillo, who created the Black Film Festival, and Jerry and Desiree Manuel, recipients of the Trailblazer Award. Not only did we get to celebrate our current families, we got to reconnect with some alumni families as well, including current PSV Deputy Director Danisha Abdul-Jabbaar!

Hollywood Schoolhouse parent and tattoo artist Chris Baglio, known on campus as Mr. Spray Can, is bringing inspired learning and fearless curiosity to life in a one-of-a-kind afterschool class. Drawing on LA’s rich history of street art and tattoos, students are exploring culture, creativity, and self-expression as they create original masterpieces. It’s another exciting headline for our school that shows our unique offerings. We are proud that Chris and the class were featured yesterday morning on Good Day LA. Hear from our students why this is one of our many popular classes with a waitlist.
