Mathnasium of Eagle Rock We provide individualized math instruction to grades 1-12. We make math fun and easy to learn! They weren't being prepared properly for their future.

As a classroom teacher, teacher-trainer, and consultant in public and top private schools--and father to a mathematically gifted son--Larry possessed a uniquely comprehensive view of education. He saw a troubling theme in mathematics instruction: a serious disconnect between the students' basic skills training and the curriculum they were expected to master in the years to come. Larry set out on a mission: to find an approach that would provide children with the strong foundation they needed to succeed. Over the next three decades, he painstakingly developed and assembled a blend of methods and materials. Instead of relying on traditional rote memorization and repetitive exercises, Larry's work focused on helping children understand math by honing their math instincts and getting them to think like mathematicians.

The center was really heating up this week!🔥🤒
So, in an attempt to help our students cool down, we gave them a free Icee Pop Day!🍧🧊😋
All of our students who came in on this day got to enjoy a refreshing a cool icee treat🥶 Our flavor of the day was blue raspberry because we almost ran out!😲🫐

We hope this tasty treat gave our students some extra brain power🧠⚡️

Our Summer Raffle Basket winners have all claimed their prizes and they wanted to share their winnings with all of you!⭐️🧺🎟️

In the first slide, we have Eileen who won the blindbox basket🧸🎁
Right after her, we have a special mention!🌟Eileen’s brother Russell won a different summer raffle for 200 Punchcards woo hoo!🥳🎉
She let us know that she would NOT be sharing any blindboxes with her brother Russell😂
In the second slide we have have Margot who won the skincare basket!🧴🧖🏻‍♀️
She was so excited to use the lotions and face masks😊
And last but not least,
In the third slide we have Lucas who won our movie night basket!🎬🍿
He let us know that he’ll be sharing the yummy movie snacks with the family😋

We had so many fun games to
play around the center♟🕹, puzzles 🧩, a face painting station🎨, snow cones🍧, yummy snacks🍿, and of course, our Summer Raffle🎟🌟!

As you can see, our center director Eric indulged in the face painting😂👍

Here are a few more little ☀️summer updates☀️
1. Our awesome student Lucas worked super hard to earn enough punchcards this summer to buy our F1 Lego set!
🏎️💨😮‍💨 Congratulations and we are so so proud of you bud💪😎 With some elbow grease and brain power anyone will be able to get the prizes of their dreams!⭐️

2. The lovely Olivia was able to last a whole minute balancing her balloon during our Float or Fail event🎈😝 and she earned 10 raffle tickets towards our 200 punchcard raffle🎟️🤩 we will be drawing winners on August 8th at our Math Carnival🎡🎠 so make sure to reach your goals to participate in the remaining events for more raffle tickets!😯👍✨

3. Lastly, we have a photo of one of our dice stacking masters, Johnny!🎲😤 He was trying endlessly to beat our record of 14 dice stacked on top of each other during our ☁️Structure to the Sky🗼🏙️ event! Unfortunately, he could only make it to 10! But, he wanted to share his masterpiece with all of you anyway😊 Nice try Johnny!

Our Mathnasium Summer Photobooth Phenom event was a success!📸⭐️😋
We’re so happy we were able to capture these precious memories with our students this summer☀️🥹 We will cherish these photos forever and we only hope to give our students the best summer ever!🥳🍉⛱️

You can find some of these photos up on the walls at the center!😊 We will also be putting them in a little photo album that we will be keeping in the parent area🤭✨📒 Let’s continue to make great memories together as we keep polishing our math skills before the school year begins🤓🧮 It may be near, but there are still a few more events to come! ✨💕We are so proud of our amazing students who celebrated the incredible women who inspire us, at the center!💕✨
They learned about important women in history like Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Katherine Johnson, and Euphemia Haynes!☝️☺️
We loved seeing their creative coloring and drawings🎨😯 It is important to us that our students also learn about the strong and inspiring throughout history who have made a lasting impact on the world and on math!💡📚👩‍🏫

Let's keep learning and being inspired by those who came before us!⭐️😋👍
