Today, our 8th grade leaders stepped up to help run the games at our 6th & 7th Grade Attendance Carnival.

We are incredibly proud of the example they continue to set for our younger Astros. As they prepare for culmination, they are leaving a legacy of leadership, kindness, and school pride.

Hoy, nuestros líderes de 8.º grado dieron un paso al frente para ayudar a dirigir los juegos en nuestro Carnaval de Asistencia para los estudiantes de 6.º y 7.º grado.

Today we celebrated our 6th and 7th grade students with an Attendance Carnival! 🎉🎡

These students earned this special event through their commitment to coming to school and being present for their learning during Semester 2. Strong attendance leads to stronger learning, stronger relationships, and greater opportunities for success.
We are so proud of our Astros.

Huge shout out to our Astros and Coach Alvarado for participating in the 8th Annual Ánimo Cup! ⚽️ ¡Hala AEO! 🥅

Today our 6th grade Astros visited the Columbia Memorial Space Museum! We got to explore the museum’s collection of space artifacts and interactive activities, design and launch paper rockets, and control a mini-rover with computer coding! Thank you so much to the museum facilitators and guides—we had the most amazing STEM experience! 🚀🪐🤖

Our finished their last race of the season with the Victory Run 5K crossing the 6th Street Bridge in Boyle Heights! Huge thank you to all of our coaches, students, and families—we couldn’t have done it with you! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃
