This is TERRIFIC insight and guidance. I also recommend to parents and guardians that they include their child in monthly bill payment sessions by the time their student is in 9th grade. By 12th grade, their child should be able to schedule and send the bills themselves (and maybe even be responsible for working to pay for one).
