Faith Baptist Church was started in 1955 in the heart of the San Fernando Valley. Five years later, Dr. Roland Rasmussen was called to pastor this small church. He started preaching with passion and concern for the people of the San Fernando Valley and its surrounding communities never realizing the big plans God had for the ministry. mussen felt the need to start a Biblically sound and academically-challenging Christian day school; in 1963, the doors to Faith Baptist Schools were opened. What began as just a single building, has grown into a large, thriving church and school ministry. In January of 1997, God led Pastor Tim Rasmussen, son of Dr. Roland Rasmussen, to join the staff of Faith Baptist Church as the co-pastor. He has since then become the Senior Pastor of Faith Baptist Church. Pastor Tim has a burden for the San Fernando Valley, where he was born and raised, and has been faithfully serving the Lord in reaching lost souls, discipling new Christians, and helping people reach their full potential for the Lord.
