Los Angeles Community Impact is a USC student-run organization that provides consulting services to socially minded organizations in the LA area.
Grounded on a powerful service-learning concept, LACI both improves the Los Angeles community through consulting and fosters the personal and professional growth of the next generation of business leaders. Last week, LACI co-hosted the 2018 Social Impact Careers Panel with USC Global Brigades at Marshall. The event featured professionals from both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, including Robert Egger from The L.A. Kitchen, a former LACI client. The panelists shared stories of pursuing social impact in varying ways throughout their careers, and provided advice for students looking to make an impact. Thanks to all the LACI members who came out for great discussions and In-N-Out!

We hope you’re enjoying President’s Day weekend! This past week, our teams gave their first board presentations of the semester. Teams received feedback on their work with our clients this semester, including Los Angeles Unified School District, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and Five Acres among others, and general members learned more about the amazing progress of our projects so far.
