Vox Collegiate of Los Angeles

Big dreams, bold boards, and a whole lot of glue helped morph our students and families’ goals into action at our Vision Board Party!

It’s always fun to take our learning outside of the classroom. Last week, our students got creative with hands on art at Craft Contemporary and cruised through the Port of Los Angeles by boat.

Families are invited to join us this Friday, January 16th at 9am for a workshop focused on supporting students’ mental health. Together, we will learn practical ways to nurture wellness at home and at school. We hope to see you there!

At Vox Collegiate, gratitude is at the heart of this season, especially for our multi year partnership with Sown to Grow, made possible through our Community Schools grant.

We deeply believe in the power of social emotional learning, and having trusted partners and platforms that help our students feel safe, seen, and supported is truly something special.

A big shoutout to our Dean of Culture Ms. Reeves for hosting the Sown to Grow team on campus as they gathered insight and feedback from our incredible teachers Mrs. Barnes, Mr. O’Hare, and Ms. Zhou and from student leaders across the school. And of course, nothing beats watching our kids engage with these tools up close.

Thank you to the Big Smiles Foundation for hosting a dental clinic on our campus. The program provided comprehensive dental care including services such as cleanings, X-rays, etc at no cost to our community.

Each year, we love seeing our 8th graders connect with top-notch high schools, and this year was no exception!

Our virtual and in-person fairs allowed for rich discussions, helping our students determine the steps needed to secure a strong path forward. It was also great to see our Vox alumni who came back to share their experiences and network with our current students.

Our Bulldogs recently took the plunge and had a spectacular time at Marina del Rey for Ocean Safety Day!Students were chosen for their consistent attendance, strong grades, and/or dedication to our ART values, in order to dive into an unforgettable experience. From canoeing to surfing, they learned the skills to conquer the ocean and explored career opportunities as LA County Lifeguards!

Thank you to the Russell Walker Water Awareness, Training, Education, Recreation Youth Program team for hosting us and making it a splash! Let’s keep making waves, Bulldogs!

Our Fall Festival was a real treat this year! Thanks to Mr. Richardson and LCC for planning an epic event! From creative costumes to fun activities like door decorating, ring toss, pie throwing, and lotería, there was something for everyone. Creativity was on full display, and the energy was BOO-tiful!

Vox Collegiate Renewed for 5 More Years!

We are proud to share that Vox Collegiate has been officially renewed for five years following a unanimous vote by the LAUSD Board of Education on October 14, 2025! This is a tremendous milestone and a powerful reflection of our school’s impact and the strength of our community.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Galeano, Mr. Davis, Ms. Gomez-Gayne, and to our incredible student and alumni representatives, Brandon, Caeden, Dakota, A’shon, Erick, Ryan, Elanie, Jaylenn, and Raymond, and our Vox parents, Ms. Lopez, Ms. Cooks, Ms. Corvera, Ms. Shields, Ms. Gordon, and Ms. Hernandez, who joined Dr. Banks in addressing the LAUSD Board to advocate for Vox’s continued success.

After waiting and showing resilience for nearly 12 hours before speaking, our students, families, and team embodied what it means to live our belief that your voice is power.

These masterpieces speak volumes about the joy, creativity, and connection we shared at our Second Annual Paint & Sip for our students and families!

Guided by our talented art teacher, Mr. Crockett, and Managing Director of Operations, Ms. K, families came together to paint vibrant pumpkins and golden marigolds—symbols of the season, community, and joy.

From beginners to seasoned artists, every brushstroke told a story of laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories.

This is Vox’s second year attending LAX Girls in Aviation Day! This inspiring event, hosted by United Airlines, continues to open doors for our students, showcasing the incredible opportunities within aviation and aerospace.

Thanks to our ongoing partnership with the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), our girls once again enjoyed an exclusive, hands-on experience to:
