For the first time at UCLA, we are proud to present a full day dedicated entirely to Iranian music and culture.

Join us for an inspiring celebration featuring:
• Conferences & lectures
• Panel discussions
• Workshop
• Outdoor performance
• A special evening concert
• An exhibition of paintings inspired by Iranian music and instruments by Rashin Kheyrkhah, presented in collaboration with Advocartsy.

A Day of Iranian Music brings together artists, scholars, students, and members of the wider community in a celebration of the richness and diversity of Iranian musical traditions, expressed through performance, sound, and visual art.

Presented through a collaboration of the Gramian-Emrani Center for Iranian Music in the Department of Music and the Department of Ethnomusicology at UCLA.

The program is also made possible through the support of the Farhang Foundation.

Distinguished Iranian singers Malihe Moradi, Sahar Mohammadi Boroujerdi, and Mahbobeh Golzari will reflect on the challenges of preserving their craft while offering demonstrations of essential Persian singing techniques.
