From bioelectronics and biomimicry to standing waves and ocean plastics, the middle and upper school Evening of Science offered students an opportunity to showcase a year of scientific exploration, experimentation, and discovery to our community. Through hands-on demonstrations and rotating presentations, attendees got to investigate everything from plant cell plasmolysis and light refraction to magnetic drag, the Magnus Effect, and the Butterfly Pea Test!

A hallway full of love for two people who have shaped so many within it. This week, we surprised Middle School Teacher Becca Hedgepath, who has taught at Wildwood for 24 years, and Community Programs Director Phil McFarland, who has taught and led our internship program for 23 years, with a farewell walk as they prepare to retire at the end of this school year. Their legacy isn’t just in the years—it’s in the lasting impact they’ve had on all of us—students, alumni, and colleagues. We were honored to share one final opportunity to celebrate them—filled with gratitude, cheers, and more than a few tears. Thank you for everything you’ve contributed to Wildwood over the years.

From scraps to showstoppers! At this year’s Trashion Show, held in honor of Earth Day, 3rd–5th grade students turned everyday recyclables into runway-ready designs. Along the way, students put sustainability into action through design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving.
“Trash “never looked so good!

It’s been a dominating week for Wildwood volleyball! After clinching the league championship as a team, our girls beach volleyball pairs competed for their own shot at CIF glory. In an incredible and rare finish, both Wildwood pairs of Daphne L. ‘27/Scarlet M. A. ‘27 and Quinn S. ‘29/Sophia N. ‘29 advanced all the way to the championship match to face each other! All four have earned a well-deserved spot in the CIF Pairs Tournament. Meanwhile, our boys indoor volleyball team continues its prowess, defeating New Roads in straight sets and qualifying for CIF for the 6th year in a row! A fitting finish for seniors Taj T. ‘26, Noam L.-V. ‘26, and Luca M. ‘26 as we celebrated them on Senior Night. Congrats!
