I named my company The Recognized Actor, because I know that every person’s strongest desire is to be seen. This is not to be confused with attention or fame, but it's the desire to be recognized for what we contribute to our tribes. When we rely on recognition outside of ourselves, we are seduced into traps of following rules, people-pleasing, and working “hard” to prove ourselves. Outside recognition, however, because of its transitory nature, is never satisfying. The only satisfying recognition comes from within, or self-acceptance. When we see who we really are - underneath our resume, our personality and our cultural category - we often discover that many of our old values belong to someone else. We no longer need to live our lives for anyone else, and we let go of comparisons. When we recognize who we really are, we are connected to Infinite Creativity, Wisdom, and Genius. And not knowing that,is what keeps us from having everything we want in the world.
