LMU Debate Team

It is with tremendous sadness that we learned of the passing of Krikor Kouyoumdjian. Krikor was an alumnus of LMU and one of the most successful debaters in the program's history. He won numerous tournaments including the Oxford IV, the US Open, and the North American Universities Debate Championship. Krikor founded the debate program at the Center for Early Education and coached debate at numerous schools throughout Southern California. Krikor graduated from UCLA Law and became one of the top-rated litigators in Los Angeles. More than his awards, accolades, and accomplishments, Krikor was a wonderful human being who was beloved within the LMU and debate communities. It is a heart-breaking loss, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and those who he touched with his grace.
