Early childhood music class - live in 15 minutes!

This Thursday, May 28, will be the final at-home Facebook live music class of the “Quarantine” session! Thank you to everyone for joining me over the last 11 weeks. This has been an interesting time for us all, and I have truly enjoyed being able to bring music to you in your home. I am taking requests for this final class, so please comment below or message me with your favorite songs or activities. They can be songs or stories that we have sung in class before, or they can be any other songs that you and your kids love. I will do my best to include them! And don’t forget, all of these videos will remain permanently on my page for you to enjoy. You can find the live videos at www.facebook.com/riseandsing/live. I don’t normally teach classes over the summer, so I will be taking some time to prepare for what’s next for me and my early childhood music classes. If you are interested in more online or zoom type classes, please let me know! I would love to hear from you and I hope to see you in class again soon. But for now, I can’t wait to see you this Thursday at 10am! ❤️🎶

Hey everybody! I hope you're having a great week so far! I will be live on Thursday at 10 am, right here on Facebook, with some fun songs about rainbows and bunnies! I hope you will join me!

Did you happen to see the rainbow this morning? I missed it, but I saw pictures from a lot of local friends who woke up to a beautiful surprise in the sky. On our walk this morning, we did spot a cute little bunny though! I love this time of year.

I wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to everyone who has joined me on Facebook the last few weeks. Like many others, I have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, since all of the preschools that I was teaching at are currently closed.

During this time, I am excited to continue to offer a FREE weekly Facebook live music class every Thursday at 10am. I miss all of my students and I want them to know how special they are to me, and how much I love making music with them each week. And thanks to Facebook, I now have new friends all over the country who have come to sing along with me!

I'm super excited for tomorrow's Facebook Live music class! Please join me on Thursday, April 2 at 10 am PT.

I will be using an egg shaker for one of the songs, so make sure you grab an instrument to play along! Don't have any shakers or maracas at home? Making homemade instruments is easy and fun! Simply 1) find a container (an empty plastic water bottle, a plastic easter egg, any small box, jar or container with a lid), 2) fill it with dry beans, peas, lentils, rice, macaroni, plastic beads - anything that will make noise!, 3) (this is an important step) seal it completely with masking tape, duct tape, super glue, etc. and lastly 4) don't forget to decorate it with construction paper, stickers, etc. I would love to see your creations! Leave a photo in the comments!
