It’s that time again! 📚🏫This Saturday, our K2C tutors completed our annual staff training for the fall semester! We are ready for you K2C scholars! 🧑🏽‍🏫📓

Underscoring the importance of early literacy for all children, Kinder 2 College enrolls kindergarten scholars in an initiative that prepares them to be proficient in reading and writing by the end of fifth grade.

USC and local students mentor the children every Saturday in a curriculum centered around exciting, interesting, game-based learning exercises. The program also conducts a seminar for parents to support and aid their children’s academic journey and build their confidence.

We would like to show our heartfelt appreciation to those who celebrate Veterans Day. Many of our parents and friends have served time in the United States Marines, Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, and Navy. The K2C Staff and Scholars are grateful for all that you have done for our country.

The USC Kinder2College program, our scholars, parents, and community would like to thank The Boeing Company for their continued generous support of our STEM initiatives. We introduced many new STEM careers to our Kinder-5th grade scholars including computer science, chemical engineering, and space exploration. During the county of Los Angeles’ stay-at-home order, Boeing's support made it possible to provide coding instruction via Zoom by providing over 100 scholars with the necessary hardware to participate. Now that we are back in the classroom, our scholars have had the opportunity to create their own self-propelled bottle rockets (Aerospace Engineering), design and print personalized 3D name tags (Computer Science), excavate then examine shark and dinosaur fossils (Paleontology), as well as creating their own flavored lip balm with coconut oil (Chemical Engineering). Our partnership with Boeing has allowed our students to continue building their STEM learning in a manner that allows positive transfer of concepts learned about careers to what they produced in the classroom lab. Thank you to The Boeing Company for this wonderful recognition of our Scholars' potential in STEM learning!
