A small mistake on your FAFSA can delay your aid or cost you money you were eligible for πŸ“
Before you hit submit, check every name, number, and date, and make sure both you and your parent have signed. And don't skip it because you think you won't qualify. Many students are surprised by what they receive.
Which of these mistakes did you not know about? Tell us in the comments πŸ‘‡

The FAFSA is open, and the clock is already ticking ⏰
Some grants and aid programs run out once the money is gone, so the students who file first have the most options. Grab your FSA ID, your family's 2025 tax info, and set aside an afternoon this week to get it done.

Before you can fill out the FAFSA, you need an FSA ID πŸ’‘
It's your login for the FAFSA and your account at studentaid.gov. You'll use it to sign forms, check your aid info, and file again each year you're in college.
Students and parents each need their own FSA ID, and it can take a few days to verify, so don't wait until the day you plan to file.

Already have scholarships? You still need the FAFSA πŸ€”
Many colleges use it to award their own scholarships, grants, and work study, and most state aid requires it too. Even if you think you won't qualify for need based aid, filing keeps every option open.
The 2027–28 FAFSA is open now at studentaid.gov. Have you filed yet? Let us know in the comments πŸ‘‡
