Granada Hills Charter Renewed For Historic Seven Years!

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Board of Education unanimously approved a seven-year charter renewal for Granada Hills Charter (GHC) on October 13, an historic milestone and a testament to the dedication of our faculty, staff, students, families, and Governing Board.

LAUSD’s renewal report highlights GHC’s strong academic outcomes. Data from the 2025 California School Dashboard show that 76.5% of GHC graduates met the college and career readiness indicator’s “prepared” criteria, compared with 51.7% statewide. GHC’s graduation rate was 96%, compared with 87.8% statewide, and its English learner progress rate was 63.8%, compared with 46.4% statewide.

A special thank-you to our parents, students, staff, alumni, and community supporters who attended the Board meeting and were prepared to speak on behalf of their schools. These opportunities help prepare students for college, careers, and life.

Real-world business experience in action! 💼✨ Twenty of our Career Technical Education (CTE) and DECA students recently assisted at the Valley Industry & Commerce Association (VICA) Business Forecast Conference.

Our students ran an exhibitor booth, networked with large and small business leaders, and saw firsthand how marketing and economic forecasting work in the real world.

Prom, football games, and school dances often come to mind. At our Zelzah Campus Back-to-School Night, our broadcast students took the opportunity to ask parents about their own memories from when they were in high school. The responses were award-winning.

"My favorite memory was when I was named Prom Queen in 1989," stated one parent.
