The USC Brittingham Social Enterprise Lab (BSEL) at USC Marshall School of Business is celebrating the 15th year of its social impact-focused mentorship program, BSEL Undergraduate Impact Scholars. All majors across USC are eligible to participate, with emphasis on students’ interest and track record in creating social impact in their area of study or passion.

When graduate student Derrick Pough Jr. of the USC Thornton School of Music launched into the classic Sam Cooke song “A Change Is Gonna Come,” a hush suddenly came over the bustling crowd at the closing event for Black History Month at USC.
“I think it’s more important now than ever to be celebrating not only Black history, but diversity and the many, many cultures that actually make this country what it is, and make it great,” he said after his performance.

The USC Marshall School of Business is launching a new global destination for aspiring real estate industry leaders, thanks to a $10 million transformational gift from Andrew Tavakoli. Tavakoli is CEO and Principal of Tavaco Properties and graduated from USC Marshall with a Master of Science in Business Administration in 1986.
