How do we truly step into the presence of God? Juan Carlos breaks down simple tips for the practice of meditation, like using your breath or a verse to anchor your focus and let go of distractions. The noise will inevitably come, but gently returning our focus to Him gives us the strength to truly listen and contemplate. ✨🙏

A moment of reflection: Juan Carlos leads a powerful guided meditation, showcasing how breathing, imagination and faith serve as the foundation before entering complete silence. Join the experience.

USA may have won on the field 🇺🇸⚽
…but we also won here at Camp Salesian.

Last Friday, more than 150 youth from Camp Salesian and Camp Savio came together for the first time as one Salesian Family during our Community International Soccer Viewing Event in Boyle Heights.

What started as a watch party for the USA vs. Paraguay match became a night of friendship, leadership, service, and community.

Our young Head Counselors led the entire event — welcoming participants, organizing games, sharing meals, and creating a space where young people from two camp communities could connect before beginning a summer of service together.

A special thank you to Southern California Edison for investing in our young people, sharing opportunities in STEM and education, and reminding our youth that they have the power to make a difference in the world.

This summer, more than 300 young people across Camp Salesian and Camp Savio will serve children and families throughout our communities.

The strongest part of the evening was not only the game on the screen, but the community being built off the field. ❤️

Some people see meditation as a practice foreign to Christianity, but JC shows us how meditation does not seek to empty oneself of God, but to open oneself to Him, and invites us to reflect on the power of meditating as a mechanism of "listening" to God vs. "praying," where we usually ask God or give thanks, but do not necessarily listen and open ourselves to Him.

How hard is it NOT to think about the past or the future, and just focus on the present? One "secret" JC shares with the audience that he uses to bring his thoughts to the present is just to be grateful. When you think about the things you can be grateful for, you are immediately brought to the now That's powerful 🙏

A little late, but we still wanted to share a special moment from our Salesian Family Youth Center community.

A few weeks ago, we celebrated the final day of our volunteer from Switzerland, Marius, who spent the last six months accompanying our children, youth, and staff. We gathered to share cake, memories, laughter, and gratitude for the time we spent together.

Thank you, Marius, for your generosity, your presence, and for sharing your gifts with our community. Your impact will continue to be felt long after your departure.

We wish you safe travels and many blessings on the next chapter of your journey. You will always have a home at the Salesian Family Youth Center. 🇨🇭❤️🇺🇸

🌟 Dreaming Big This Summer! 🌟

This past Tuesday, our Salesian Youth Group gathered to reflect on our hopes, expectations, and goals for the summer. Together, we talked about the projects we want to accomplish, the challenges we hope to overcome, and the ways each of us wants to grow as a person, a leader, and a disciple of Christ.

It was inspiring to see so many young people sharing their dreams and encouraging one another to make this summer meaningful and intentional.

As we continue our journey, please note that there will be no Youth Group meeting next Tuesday, as many of our youth and leaders will be attending the . Please keep them in your prayers as they prepare for a week of leadership, faith, friendship, and personal growth.

🙏 “Do not wait for opportunities. Create them.”
